【インターン日報2020年7月★松原】文学部の学生がビジネスを勉強しないといけないと思った話。

プラスカラーでインターンをしています、松原です。大学では日本史を勉強しています。今回は広報の勉強をさせてもらっている私が、広報だけではだめだと実感した話を書きます。
My name is Matsubara and I'm an intern at Plus Color, and I'm studying Japanese history at university. I'm studying Japanese history at the university. I'm studying public relations, and I'm going to write about a story that made me realize that public relations alone is not enough.

Publicity channel without permission

勝手に広報チャンネルとは、プラスカラー代表の佐久間さんと取締役の久良良さんが気になる企業を勝手に広報していくYouTubeチャンネルです。最近名前を聞くようになった企業、CMを見るようになった企業など気になる企業を取り上げています。私は台本作成のための情報収集やnoteへの下書きなどを担当しています。本日から情報収集業務を始めたのですが、たくさんの学びがありました。

The self-serving PR channel is a company that Plus Color's president, Sakuma-san, and director, Kurara-san, are interested in. This is a YouTube channel that promotes companies that we will highlight companies that we have recently heard of or seen commercials for, for example, companies that we are interested in I am there. I'm in charge of gathering information for the script and drafting it into note. I started my information gathering duties today, and I've learned a lot.

広報だけを勉強しても使えない
Even if I study only public relations, I cannot use it

今回行ったメイン業務は勝手に広報チャンネルのリサーチでした。今まで文章作成が苦手、リサーチが苦手と言っていましたが、今回はリサーチにマーケティング的な視点が必要という部分で苦戦しました。今まで私が作成してきた文章は、就活生へ向けた説明会の案内文やADOREcollegeの広報文を考えるというものが主でした。そのため、サービスや会社の背景を知るために社会情勢を調べるということがほとんどでした。

今回新たに加わったリサーチでは、広報チャンネルで取り上げる会社のビジネスモデルや市場の動向について、何を調べればいいのか、どのように調べたらいいのかわからないことだらけでした(わからないと思ったときにすぐ別の方にお聞きして解決できたのは、数か月前の私からしたら成長した部分！)。

The main work I did this time was research for the PR channel on my own. I've always said I wasn't good at writing or researching, but this time I was able to research and market I struggled with the part that I needed to have a specific point of view.The text I have created so far has been an introduction to a job hunting event and an advertisement for ADOREcollege The main thing was to come up with a public relations letter. So it was mostly about researching the social situation to get a background on the service and the company .

So, what do you want to know about the company's business model and market trends that we cover in our PR channels? I didn't know what to look for or how to find out. (I was able to ask another person for help as soon as I didn't understand, and I was able to solve the problem a few months ago. I think it's an area of growth :)

Talking about I thought I had to learn business

今回の業務でビジネスの根本を知らないと行き詰ってしまうということを感じました。今までは、「時流のものは何か」「キャッチーなものは何か」と考えることが多かったのですが、そもそもどういう市場があって、成長度合いはどうなのか、ということを知らないと表面情報だけを追ってしまっているように思いました。今後も経営者のすぐ横でインターンをさせてもらえるという環境を存分に使って、ビジネスについて勉強していきたいと思います。

This business has made me realize that if you don't know the fundamentals of business, you're stuck. I used to think a lot about what's current and what's catchy. If you don't know what kind of market there is in the first place, and what the level of growth is, you only have to scratch the surface. I felt like I was chasing after it. I will continue to learn and take full advantage of the environment that allows me to intern right next to the management and I would like to.
