1. Kazuki Onishi - My Hawaii trip in the spring vacation
Kazuki Onishi is a sophomore student at Konan University.
His hobbies are watching movies, playing the guitar, and going on trips somewhere.
2.Danyk Amyot - A Lito Koala Book
Danyk Amyot is a poet, songwriter, educator, and storyteller who has lived in Osaka for twenty years. His works can be found in various forms of media such as zines, magazines, books, Substack, the YouTube channel Tabiator, and the film Sign Gene. Most recently he teaches workshops on how to create zines to encourage learners to write the things they really want to read and share. Lito, a story about a koala who learns what to value about a home, is his latest creation.
3. Ryan Richardson - His wrong trunks
Ryan Richardson is originally from Michigan in the US. He works as a full-time English teacher here at CUBE. His hobbies include gardening and all kinds of sports. Perhaps too much physical activity is why he always says he is tired. He loves talking which is why he is not confident he can complete his talk in 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
4. Liam Drew - Having a Dream~夢を持つこと~
Liam Drew has been playing basketball from the beginning of elementary school to the end of high school. After that, he works as an analytical staff member for the American Football Club.
5. Enoki Miki - Forestry Project in Northeast of India
Enoki Miki specializes in the field of Tibetan refugees in India and teaches development studies here at CUBE. She lived in India for 11 years, 4 years as a student, and 7 years with JICA. She also lived in Bangladesh for 2 years working for the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
6. Josh Jodoin - Doing Good Better with Dr.J
Joshua Jodoin (Dr.J) has a passion for electronics, philosophy, and science fiction. I love being a university teacher exploring global environmental Issues with my students and researching Language Education for Sustainable Development (LESD). When he isn't working, you can find me strolling around Kobe, diving into a good book, or contemplating how to be a better human being.
7. Ryosuke Fukushito - How to improve your English
Ryosuke Fukushiro is a high school teacher, who wanted to be a basketball star or a rock star when he was young. Neither of his dreams came true, but through watching NBA games and listening to a lot of rock songs, he got interested in English and became an English teacher.
8. Tomomi Shibukawa and Miki - Human Rights’ Issues in Palestine & Japan: Detention Centres
Tomomi Shibukawa is from Singapore-Japan. I’m a 4th year human sciences undergraduate student from Osaka University. I love cooking and reading about current affairs, and I’m passionate about issues regarding social justice. I hope to create a society that is fairer and care-centered.
9. Michiko Onishi - Seven
Michiko Onishi is a simultaneous interpreter between Japanese and Chinese, as well as a graduate school student who has returned to she classroom in her late 40’s. After a few decades of only working and not studying, she is now enjoying school life among many younger classmates, including various foreign students.
10. Phil Norton and Jacob Velo - Fledgling: Starting all over again, yet again
Phil Norton (aka Preachermansays) is a poet, spoken-word artist and music maker who has lived 1/3 of his life in different countries: The US, Australia and Japan. Phil has published two collections of poetry and performs at festivals and arts events around the world. He is the recipient of two national poetry awards in Australia including the Newcastle Poetry Prize for New Media. Jacob Veloo is a sound designer, composer, woodwindist, and occasionally a guy who likes writing what he finds to be humorous stories or science fiction novels, though rarely at the same time. Born in rural British Columbia, Canada, he now resides in Kyoto, Japan, where he enjoys making music, exploring various sonic possibilities, and pushing the limits of what words can and cannot do. www.jacobveloo.com
