ジェネレーションZによるファッション論争

本日３回目のオンライン英会話である。

9-24歳を指す通称Generation Zによる、前世代のファッション批判がインターネット上で大きな論争を呼び起こした。

自分がGeneration Zに属していたことを驚きつつ、記事を読み進めた。語彙の乏しい私には少々無理をした記事のチョイスだったため、新出単語に翻弄され、理解に時間を要したが、ボスニアの優しい先生が根気強く付き合ってくれた。

Generation Zの一つ前の世代millennialsは25-40歳を指す。私は自分の考え方がmillennials寄りであると感じることも多くある。そもそも年齢が同じでも考え方や価値観の違いを感じることもあるのに、15歳くくりの枠をつくることに意味はあるのだろうか。
