(Psalms 8:1) O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens!
(詩篇8:1) 主よ、私たちの主よ、あなたの御名は、全地の中で何とすぐれておられることでしょう！
Psalms 8:1-2 rendered as “O LORD, our Lord, how excellent (majestic and glorious) is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory on [or above] the heavens. Out of the mouths of babes and unweaned infants You have established strength because of Your foes, that You might silence the enemy and the avenger” according to the Amplified Classic Edition of the Bible.
詩篇8:1-2は「主よ、私たちの主よ、あなたの御名は全地の中で何とすぐれて（荘厳で、栄光に満ちて）おられることでしょう！あなたは栄光を天の上に置かれた。乳飲み子や乳離れしていない幼子の口から、あなたの敵のために力を定め、敵や復讐者を黙らせられました。
Additionally, the Bible declares in Psalm 95:6-7, that “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand”. So, worshipping and praising God is our duty because we are God’s people. And when we do it in spirit and sincerity of heart, He is bound to reveal a higher dimension of His glory. For example, when you declare “Excellent is your name O God”, you allow Him to bring excellence into your life. The word translated “excellent” in our theme scripture means “powerful, mighty, noble, worthy, principal, and famous”. These are true sayings about our God. But as you tell Him these he makes these sayings real in your life too. What a an excellent God we serve! Find time throughout the day and tell Him “excellent is your name” Halleluyah!
さらに、聖書は詩篇95篇6～7節でこう宣言している。主は私たちの神であり、私たちは主の牧場の民、主の御手の羊だからです」。だから、神を礼拝し、賛美することは、私たちが神の民である以上、私たちの義務なのだ。そして、私たちが霊と真心をもってそれを行うとき、神はご自身の栄光をより高い次元で現してくださるに違いない。例えば、「神よ、あなたの御名は素晴らしい」と宣言するとき、あなたは神があなたの人生に卓越性をもたらしてくださることを認めることになる。私たちのテーマ聖句で「すぐれた」と訳されている言葉は、「力強い、強大な、高貴な、ふさわしい、主要な、有名な」という意味である。これらは、私たちの神についての真実な言葉である。しかし、あなたがこれらを神に伝えると、神はあなたの人生においてもこれらの言葉を現実のものとしてくださるのです。私たちが仕えている神は、なんと素晴らしい方なのだろう！一日の中で時間を見つけて、神に「あなたの御名はすばらしい」と伝えてください！
Confession: O Lord, my Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! Out of my mouth, You have ordained strength, Because of our enemies, That we may silence the enemy and the avenger. When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon, and the stars, which You have ordained. Who am I, that You are so mindful of, You have given me dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under my feet, Excellence is Your name. Halleluyah!
告白する： 主よ、わが主よ、あなたの栄光を天の上に置かれたあなたの御名は、全地においてなんとすばらしいことでしょう！わたしの口から、敵のために、あなたは力をお定めになりました。あなたの天、あなたの指のわざ、あなたが定められた月、星を思うとき。あなたはわたしに、御手のわざを支配させ、万物をわたしの足の下に置かれました。ハレルヤ！
