⚫︎ Marco in the current meta
Japan is in OP-10 -ROYAL BLOOD-.
There isn't a specific strongest leader at the moment.
This is a major characteristic in the current meta.
However, there are still many strong leaders.
Here are the leaders you can't afford to underestimate.
Let’s take a look at our enemies!
(These opponents have even won major tournaments in OP-10.)

These 26 leaders have won in OP-10, shaping a meta where they compete fiercely for the top spot.
As you can see, it's a diverse meta.
(In Chapter 3, I will introduce strategies for fighting against each leader.)
So,
Q) where does Marco stand?
How many times do you think Marco would win if 1,000 Japan Flagship Battles were held?
A) Marco's expected win rate in the Japan's Flagship tournament is approximately 0.3% .
(In fact, he has achieved about 10 wins out of 3,000 tournaments.)
Due to the difficulty in both deck building and gameplay, Marco's usage rate is extremely low, but I believe it’s still possible to achieve great results with him. He’s a true dark horse.
I will explain the reasons in the next chapter.
Chap 1 "Characteristics of Leader Marco"
Of course, you know the effect, right?😁
This leader has three strengths.
(1) Stable hand through routing.
(2) Enables development from the top of the deck.
(3) High removal potential with -2000.
It’s important to fully understand these three points.

⚫︎ Stable hand through routing.
I'll show you 4 graphs.
Publicly revealed cards refer to the number of cards added to the hand. And when searching for some cards, you move 5 to the right.
(※Strictly speaking, if you play a search card, cards that are not part of the search do not advance to the right at all.)
Anyway, what I want to emphasize here is Marco's stability. Even with just 2 or 3 copies included, the probability of drawing the card is significantly higher compared to other decks.
Of course, it's less likely to experience mishaps because it's easier to draw key cards that are included as 4 copies in a deck.
It's almost like studying probability.

⚫︎ Enables development from the top of the deck.
〜It may be a bit difficult, but it's important.〜
In a different article, I explored the rule that having a smaller total number of cards in the deck and trash gives an advantage in ONE PIECE CARD GAME. I'm confident that this is correct.
There is only the Japanese version, but if you have time, please read it.
I think it would be really interesting if you try playing while being aware of the total number of cards in your deck and trash.
(An actual example)
If you knock out the opponent's character, their trash increases. On the other hand, since your counter usage is reduced, your trash doesn't increase as much.
All of the above reasoning easily explains why he is strong.
This card serves many roles:
It directly reduces the total number of cards in both your deck and trash.
It increases your opponent's trash through KO.
It reduces your counter consumption through KO, which in turn minimizes the increase in your trash.
Now, do you notice something when looking at these 3 characters?
They also have several roles.
(1) Reduces the number of cards in the deck. Unlike 4c Jinbe, there is no need to reduce your hands.
(2) With the effects of characters that enter play (such as Atmos), you can remove enemy characters. This means your counter consumption decreases, and your trash doesn't increase as quickly.
(3) By increasing the number of attacks, your opponent's counter consumption rises, meaning their trash increases.
RB Marco is a leader who can utilize these characters that allow you to develop from the top of the deck without reducing your hands. (with reducing your deck)
The ability to play from the top of the deck is the strongest in ONE PIECE CARD GAME.

⚫︎ High removal potential with -2000.
As we discussed earlier, removal is strong in this game.
The removal increases the opponent's trash while reducing your own counter consumption. In other words, It helps prevent your trash from accumulating as easily.
Here,
Marco is able to reduce the power of the opponent's character by 2000.
There are many ways to use this.
(1) Just like using it to reduce costs.
(2) Lowering the power of rested opponent's character to make it easier to KO it with an attack.
(3) Lowering the power of an opponent's blocker with 6000 or more power to prevent it from saving the opponent's counters.
When RB Marco debuted, (1) was the main focus of attention.
However, what truly matters is (2). The opponent will need to spend more counters — 2000 times the number of attacks — to protect a character whose power has been reduced by 2000.
This makes it easier to stop the early momentum of aggro decks and harder for large decks to protect their big characters.

Up to this point, I have discussed general considerations for One Piece Card Game and explained the strengths of Marco that come with them.
In the following chapters,
I will explain more specific ways to use RB Marco.
Chap 2 "Key Cards Overview in RB Marco"
