OHAOプロジェクトの活動方針発表

皆様、こんばんは。

今日はこれからのOHAOプロジェクトの活動方針を発表させていただきます。  

今まで様々な関係各所と協議を進め、発表できることに心より感謝申し上げます。  

OHAOプロジェクトの活動は国際交流や異文化交流、料理体験以外に毎月開催している意味は実は防災訓練でもありました。  

東日本大震災を機に看護師になり、またこのコロナウイルスで業務上、救急隊員さんとの関わりも多く、救急車の搬送時間は8時間はまだ短い方だというやり取りの中で、様々な社会問題を目の当たりにしました。  

そこで、芝消防署、芝消防署管轄内の大使館、また参加希望の大使館、自衛隊、医療機関と連携し、机上の学習ではなく、実際に実践を通して学ぶ機会を設けます。  

これは消防署も初の試みになるため、子どもからご高齢者まで生き延びる術を共に学びます。  

初回の大使館は災害のないクウェート国大使館と開催します。  

災害を経験したことがない外国人も安心して日本で生活できるように、様々な角度で学びを考えています。  

今回はクウェート料理を電気、ガスが使えないことを想定しお料理します。  

今後は災害に特化した自衛隊から災害時の調理法を学ぶ機会も協議中です。  

5月25日は学びのフェア　防災訓練＆クウェート国を学びます。  

募集は明日からの予定です。

Good evening.

Today, I would like to announce the future direction of the OHAO Project.

After discussions with various stakeholders, I am grateful to be able to make this announcement.

The activities of the OHAO Project not only focus on international and intercultural exchanges and culinary experiences but also serve as disaster preparedness training.

Inspired by the Great East Japan Earthquake, I became a nurse, and through my work during the COVID-19 pandemic, I have had extensive interactions with emergency medical personnel. Conversations about ambulance transport times, which are still considered short at eight hours, have brought various social issues to my attention.

Therefore, in collaboration with the Shiba Fire Department, embassies within its jurisdiction, interested embassies, the Self-Defense Forces, and medical institutions, we will provide opportunities for hands-on learning rather than mere theoretical study.

This initiative, a first for the fire department, aims to teach survival skills to people of all ages.

The inaugural session will be held in collaboration with the Embassy of Kuwait, a country that has not experienced disasters of this scale.

Our goal is to ensure that foreigners who have never experienced disasters can also feel safe living in Japan, and we are considering various approaches to learning.

For this session, we will prepare Kuwaiti cuisine without using electricity or gas.

We are also in discussions to include disaster cooking methods from the Self-Defense Forces in our future sessions.

Join us on May 25th for the Learning Fair: Disaster Preparedness Training & Understanding Kuwait.

Recruitment will begin tomorrow.
