Odaka Pioneer Village welcomes guests from overseas!
This place is a combination of a coworking space, guesthouse and glass accessory workshop.

This time, our guest Mackenzie from the U.S. stayed with us for about 10 days.

She  is doing research activities while using our facilities as a base and gave us her impressions of Odaka Pioneer Village.

I loved my time working and staying at Odaka Pioneer Village.
Located near the ocean in a charming small town with family-run restaurants and coffee shops, Odaka is a great place to learn about rural Japanese life in the recovery zone following the March 2011 earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster.
The staff at OPV are friendly, helpful, and kind. They helped me make friends and included me in social gatherings.

小高パイオニアヴィレッジでの滞在はとても素敵なものでした。
小高は海が近く、家族経営のレストランや喫茶店が並ぶコンパクトで魅力的な街です。
東日本大震災から復興する地域の暮らしを学ぶには絶好の場所です。
スタッフも親切でした。地域の集まりなどに連れていってくれたので、友達もできました。

スタッフとも楽しく会話をしている様子。
（もちろん英語です！）

The co-working space is modern and tidy.
It’s well-loved by a small but devoted young group of entrepreneurs who are working to develop the town.
I enjoyed learning about their projects and talking with them about mine!

コワーキングスペースはモダンで整然としています。
とても小さいですが、町を作り上げる熱心な若手起業家たちにとっても活用されています。
彼らと共に過ごし、プロジェクトを知ることもとても興味深かったです。

I would recommend OPV in a heartbeat to digital nomads who want to a sense of community and swap the fast-paced city life for a calm and beautiful seaside Japanese lifestyle.
Staying at OPV has been the highlight of my time in Japan.

小高パイオニアヴィレッジはコミュニティ意識を持ち、目まぐるしい都会の生活から日本の美しい海辺のライフスタイルに切り替えたいデジタルノマドにとてもおすすめです。

OPVでの体験は日本滞在の中でも、特に印象的でした。

She spoke highly of her stay at Odaka Pioneer Village.
She also enjoys running and has visited various places.
We have hung out several times after work, like sumo wrestling and DJ practice party,  and we were able to share fun time with local community.

ランニングも嗜まれるそうで、様々なスポットへ赴いたそうです。
私たちも何度か仕事終わりに遊びに誘うなど、地域で活動する人々の感性に触れる一時を生み出せました。

We welcome guests from overseas as well, with cashless service and English-speaking staff.
We hope that foreign visitors to Minamisoma, which is home to unique initiatives such as sake, samurai, and horse culture, as well as cutting-edge technology, will take advantage of Odaka Pioneer Village.
