About 10 years ago, I was in the Philippines to study English. This is a story of the time.

On Aug 21st 2010, I left the language school at Iloilo. At first, I thought I have to leave there alone, but finally got a company as a Korean student(called Owen) was supposed to take the same flight as mine. Lucky!

I woke up at 5:30 in the morning on the day leaving. As soon as I got up, I started to write letters to some friends on the back of photos. It took me a lot of time to finish, but I felt time had passed so fast.

After a while, a friend of mine, Jane, came to my room to wake me up. She had been nice to me and I felt like as if she was my older sister. We ate break fast together with other friend. During the meal, we talked little probably because we all felt sad.

I went back to my room to pick the baggage, and went downstairs. Though it was almost 8 o'clock, Owen hadn't come yet. I waited for him to come.

At first, I didn't think I would cry, but when I hugged Jane, suddenly tears fell down on my cheeks. I really liked her. I really appreciated to her everything during my stay at the school. Another friend(Japanese) also cried. We made a promise that we would meet in Japan.

Owen and I got a taxi and left there. The trip to Manila was quite comfortable for me because I had him. I felt at ease at that time. We arrived to Manila, and ate lunch together.

After eating lunch, I had to move to terminal 2 at Manila airport as I was at terminal 3, which was for Cebu Pacific. We went to the airport office to ask about the airport taxi. Then a clerk told us that it cost about 500(or 1000?) peso to move to the very next the terminal. Unbelievable! We were so surprised. We decided to leave and go again. After a while, we went there again and there wasn't the clerk we ask the price this time. And we asked another clerk about the price. He said it cost 100 peso only! We finally noticed that she was trying to deceive us.

Anyway, I said good-bye to my company and I managed to arrive at the terminal 3.

At first, I was so nervous to stroll around Manila as I heard Manila is one of the most dangerous cities. I had experienced deceiving(almost), but the people are mostly cheerful and kind. I didn't feel any fear when I stayed there.
