Queen of No Panties

Born in Tagata-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture. Real name: Katsumata Kimie. Height: 160cm, measurements: B89, W58, H88. Blood type: O.

Formerly a hostess at a no panties cafe in Kabukicho, she made her debut in 1984 in the romantic porn film "Eve-chan no Hanabira." She was often featured on TV shows, including "Tonight" (TV Asahi), and was called the queen of no panties cafes and the idol of Kabukicho.

She also worked under the stage name Kumashiro Yumiko.

Career

During middle school, she wanted to be a talent, auditioned for various jobs, and modeled for semi-nude photos. After graduating from a private girls' high school, she worked at a department store in her hometown of Shizuoka and would go to Tokyo on her days off, but when she saw a sign that said she could earn more than 30,000 yen a day, she started working at a no panties cafe. In September 1983, during the second no-panties cafe boom in Kabukicho, while working at the private no-panties cafe USA, she was featured in the adult entertainment magazine Night Times and became popular. In the first no-panties cafe boom, the women did not wear underwear and customers could only admire the waitresses in loincloths, but in the second boom, customers could choose their favorite woman and receive hand service in a private room. Eve's popularity was such that there were lines in front of the store, and on one day the peak number of customers was as high as 35. At universities (Waseda, Gakushuin, Hosei, Chuo, Tokai, Takushoku, Senshu, etc.), there were no more than 200 supporters' clubs, and feature articles were published in general magazines. She said, "I suddenly became the center of attention, my parents disowned me, and I thought I would never be able to live a normal life." She was fired from the department store and had a fiance in her hometown, but she prioritized working in Tokyo and turned down the marriage. A special feature was made on Tonight, and a one-day report on Eve's daily commute from Shizuoka by Shinkansen was also broadcast.

In February 1984, she left "USA" and was first appointed as the image girl for Check Mate, an import underwear manufacturer. She started modeling at the fashion show that the company held in Shinjuku in March, and made her debut as a singer. On May 20th, she held the "Eve Festival" at the Shinjuku Station East Exit Alta Plaza, where she sang in front of an audience of several thousand people, and began her career mainly in pornographic films and adult videos. In April 1986, she made her stage debut in "The Legend of the Laughing People". In July 1987, she married the president of a video production company 17 years her senior and retired, but the following year they divorced. She moved to Osaka and resumed her career as a reporter, mainly for local TV stations, and in 1989, she began her career with her younger sister Takeda Manami as the AV Sisters, and even performed nude photos of the sisters. As a stripper, she performs at theaters all over the country under the sign "Queen of No Panties Cafes." Her younger sister, after releasing several VHS tapes under the name Takeda Manami, changed her name to Ienaga Shoko and released her works as an AV actress under KUKI.

No Panties Shabu Shabu is a type of entertainment restaurant, a shabu shabu restaurant or brothel where female staff serve customers without underwear under their skirts.

A similar service is offered by no panties cafes.

In 1998, the high-class no panties shabu shabu restaurant Loulan in Kabukicho, Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, became a hot topic when it was discovered that it was one of the venues for entertaining Ministry of Finance bureaucrats in the Ministry of Finance entertainment corruption scandal. According to Excite, no panties shabu shabu is treated as a restaurant, and unlike brothels, it was used to entertain national government officials because "receipts can be written off as food and drink expenses."

According to Asahi Shimbun Publications/Weekly Asahi, the store that became a topic of discussion in this case was a members-only establishment in Kabukicho, Shinjuku Ward, where the course cost 19,980 yen including tax for two hours, and served foie gras and Matsusaka beef. Also, according to the testimony of an employee, the host was cold-hearted, but the host was "watching intently."

In addition, in the December 17, 2016 issue of Kodansha's "Weekly Gendai," in an article titled "How the entertainment industry's great invention, the 'no-panties cafe,' made men fall in love with it," Jun Miura recalled, "No-panties cafes were popular with the younger generation, but no-panties shabu-shabu was popular with older men."
