作品証明書や作品展示指示書が持つチカラ

六本木のTARO NASUで開催中の『Paper Works』

作品証明書、作品展示指示書などの書類に焦点をあてた展示です。

これは現代アートを鑑賞する上で、作品の見方をワンランクアップさせてくれるような展示になってます。

こちらはローレンス・ウィナーの作品。

ローレンス・ウィナー（Lawrence Weiner）は1942年、ニューヨーク生まれのアーティストで、このように展示会場の言語に翻訳されていたりします。

そしてそれは、横に展示されている【作品展示指示書】によって価値を生むのです。

これはイアン・ウィルソン（Ian Wilson）による『Circle on the floor』。ただ床に円が描かれているだけの作品。

これは作品展示指示書によって、その円の描き方が指示されており、これに沿って描かれた円こそが作品になり、誰かが踏んで円が消えても、また書き足せばいい。

これが『Circle on the floor』の作品展示指示書。

逆にいえば、この作品展示指示書がないかぎり、誰かがまったく同じ円を床に描いたとしても、それは『Circle on the floor』にはなりません。なんとも難しい。

このように現代アートにおいて、作品証明書や作品展示指示書が持つチカラというのはどこかお金のような価値があり、紙幣や貨幣を直接食べることも飲むこともできないのに、それと同等、もしくはそれ以上の価値として皆が信用しています。

同時に、作品展示指示書があれば、キャンバスや物体がそこになくても、それと同じ価値をすぐにそこに発行できるという、まさに【概念のやりとり】を見ている気がします。

意味がわかればめちゃくちゃ面白いです。オススメ。

“Paper Works” at TARO NASU in Roppongi

This exhibition focuses on documents such as work certificates and work exhibition instructions.

This is an exhibition that enhances the perspective of works when appreciating contemporary art.

This is a work by Lawrence Weiner.

Lawrence Weiner was born in New York in 1942 and has been translated into the language of the exhibition hall.

And it creates value by the [work exhibition instructions] displayed beside it.

The fourth is "Circle on the floor" by Ian Wilson. A work in which a circle is simply drawn on the floor.

This is how the circle is drawn in the work exhibition instructions, and the circle drawn along with it becomes a work, and even if someone steps on and the circle disappears, it should be added again.
