1980年代後半、イギリスはレイヴが大流行

クラブとドラッグ、若者が集まったその様はアメリカ・サイケデリックロックを代表とするサマー・オブ・ラブと酷似していることから、通称"セカンド・サマー・オブ・ラブ"と呼ばれた。

そんなレイヴミュージックとロックバンドが融合し
1989年、イングランド・マンチェスター
"Madchester"が誕生した！

伝説のレーベル、ファクトリーレコード
そのナイトクラブ、ハシエンダ、
グラウンドビートと呼ばれる独特なビート…
そのどれもが強烈なアイコンである。

たった2-3年で終わったシーンであったが、革新的なグループを多く輩出し後進のUKシーンに多大なる影響を与えた。

In the late 1980s, raves were all the rage in England.

Night clubs, drugs, and young people who gathered there bore a striking resemblance to the Summer of Love, a representative of American psychedelic rock, and thus it was commonly referred to as the Second Summer of Love.

In 1989, fusion of rave music and rock bands led to the formation of the "Second Summer of Love" in Manchester,
"Madchester" was born!

The unique beat called "ground beat"... all of them are strong icons.

Although the scene lasted only a couple of years, it produced many innovative groups and had a profound influence on the UK scene to come.
