My language school experience-01
Hii Guys:)
Today I woke up at 2pm and it feels horrible, cause I couldn't sleep very much. Although I woke up, changed clothes and went to Starbucks to get some caffeine and now I am writing this blog so I did pretty good.
Anyway this time I'm gonna talk about when I went to language school.
The name of language school is St. Giles Brighton. I went there for a total of 9 months from October 2021 to July 2022.
It was my very first time living only by myself, like doing laundry, cooking dinner, cleaning room. So yeah it was a bit too much at beginning to control everything. But I knew that it takes time to get used to and now I'm living with that, just fine haha
My first day of school
Okay, lemme talk about school. The first day of school was fine, not bad, but not really good. Honestly it wasn't what I imagined to be like for my first day. Cause I had no one that I know at the time.
So when I found a Japanese girl in my class ( FYI I was B1 class which is Middle level of all) I sit next to her and I spoke only with her on that day, cause I was so nervous and just wanna be with someone.
There were less than 10 ppl in class, French, Swiss, Saudi Arabian, Spanish and Japanese. They speak so well, however, I found out difficulty in understanding their English with different accents. But day by day it got better and better. I think it's really important that you try to speak with a lots of ppl even if your English is not perfect or you make mistakes. We are all here for improving English level and we all make mistakes.
When I realised that I felt so relieved and I have changed into a person who are more sociable:)
Thankfully, at my school there were so many various nationalities such as French, Swiss, German, Spanish, Italy, Dutch, Australian, Belgian, Korean, Japanese, Saudi Arabian, Mexican, Colombian, etc.
So I never feel like I don't belong here or kind of left out.
Beside, at my school, they have a lot of events almost every day of the week that are great way to make new friends and meet new students and simply have fun!
Also the activities you do every season change, and you can ask Christina who are charging in school programs to do smth what you wanna do.
She's running a IG account of St. Giles.: @stgilesbrighton
please check it out if you're interested in!
I usually hang out with my girls.
Here some pics of them. I love being with them everyday. After school sometimes we go the shopping mall called Churchill Square to buy outfit for clubbing or we go cafe to talk about our personal stuff like the relationship with fam, friends, bf, or we just do smth really stupid, but it's just so fun.
I will definitely talk about my girls later<3
Some ppl live with Host family and some ppl like me live at Residence of school.
Especially living with Host family, there are some rules which is quite important to keep a good relationship with them. We have rules in residence too but it's more flexible and more free.
My friend always asked me if we have dinner together then if so, what time will be going home? cause they have to inform their HF. So basically we didn't have dinner together so often.
I'm not a cooking person at all. But you know, before I come to England, I though I would cook everyday and be able to a very good cooker. To tell
the truth, I never do that. Thankfully everyone was so kind and caring, and also they worried about me. Then they always cooked me dinner.
I think I was blessed with ppl who give me free dinner lol
Back to my days, I feel like there were always my ppl around me and I can't thank them enough!!
Ummm I'm sorry I think this blog is a bit mess up… but THANK YOU for coming to my page and hope you enjoy it!
Bye bye~
