同格表現
同じものを違う言い方で並べて補足的な説明をする表現方法を「同格表現」と言います。
そのまま並べたり、「カンマ(,)」を使ったり、前置詞を使ったりなど、同格表現にはさまざまなパターンがあります。
　
・そのまま並べる同格表現
　The famous painter Picasso loved garlic.（有名な画家のピカソはにんにくが好きだった。）
　※「The Famous painter」と「Picasso」が同格。

・カンマを使う同格表現
　Ms. Tamaki, a famous painter in Okinawa, loves chocolate.（沖縄の有名画家である玉城さんは、チョコレートが大好きです。）
　※「Ms. Tamaki」と「a famous painter」が同格。

・前置詞を使う同格表現
　I agree to the idea of changing our school regulations.（私は校則を変えるというアイデアに賛成です。）
　※「of」で結ばれている「the idea」と「changing our school regulations」が同格。

・接続詞を使う同格表現
　I agree to the idea that we should change our school regulations.（私は校則を変えるべきというアイデアに賛成です。）
　※「that」の前後の「the idea」と「we should change our school regulations」が同格。
