台灣初登場 - narai -

台灣的朋友,初次見面,
我們是杉之森酒造。
非常感謝您選擇了我們的narai vintage。

We are thrilled to announce our debut in Taiwan from April 2024, and would like to take this opportunity to introduce our brewery as well as our product, the narai vintage.


about suginomori brewery

We brew our sake in the town of Narai-juku, Nagano, renowned for its beautiful and historic streetscape. At an altitude of 940m, we are one of the highest altitude breweries in Japan. Established in 1793, the sake brewery Suginomori Shuzo was an integral part of this historic streetscape until its closure in 2012.

In the summer of 2021, we decided to restore this brewery as suginomori brewery, and in October of the same year, resumed brewing sake with a single master brewer under the brand “narai.”

The narai vintage consists of 390 bottles of narai brewed in 2022, our first year of brewing.

We are now offering narai vintage bottles from Tank No. 7 to No. 10.

narai vintage has been aged for about two years since 2022, giving it a richer golden hue compared to the narai kinmon and narai sankei. 
The aromas has also become more pronounced.
Its distinctive acidity, along with the savory umami flavors of rice, have been brought about by the aging process.

The tag on each bottle indicates each bottle number out of 390 bottles.

how to enjoy narai vintage

The narai vintage is best enjoyed when paired with food. It complements a wide variety of international cuisines other than just Japanese cuisine, so we encourage you to try different pairings.

For example, it would pair well with rich seafood dishes like sautéed lobster, or grilled vegetables full of umami flavors. It would also complement lighter dishes such as white fish, sautéed in butter or paired with a tangy sauce.

Another way to enjoy the narai vintage is to mix it with soda water at a 1:3 ratio to create a narai highball – a perfect drink for a warm day. Adding frozen fruits instead of ice can also enhance its aroma and bring about a refreshingly fruity flavor.
