生い立ち
イラン西部のホラムシャハルに近い小さな町に14人の大家族の末っ子として生まれる。1989年2月下旬、イラン・イラク戦争さなかに国境近くにあったその町はイラク軍の空爆により壊滅、そして家族とは4歳で生き別れたとされる。その町へ救護隊ボランティア要員としてテヘラン大学からかけつけていたフローラ・ジャスミンに救助され、7歳までテヘランの孤児院で暮らすこととなる
自分と同じように傷みを背負って生きる若者たちと映画を作りたい―。俳優サヘル・ローズの呼びかけに応えて８人の若者が参加し、映画「花束」の撮影が始まったのは２０２０年のことだった。監督のサヘルも若者たちも児童養護施設出身。複雑な家庭の事情を抱えて生きてきた。撮影現場は、傷みを分かち合う「居場所」のようになり、「表現」は気持ちを吐き出す手段となっていった。映画完成までの日々を追った４年間の記録。
I want to make a film with young people who live with the same pain that I do. It was in 2020 that eight young people took part in response to actor Sahel Rose's call, and filming for the movie ``Bouquet'' began in 2020. Both the director, Sahel, and the young people are from children's homes. He has lived with complicated family circumstances. The filming set became a ``place'' where people could share their hurts, and ``expression'' became a means to vent their feelings. A four-year record that follows the days leading up to the completion of the film.
