My muscles are sore and I'm immersed in music as I prepare to head there~ It's getting pretty close.






I feel like I understand a little more about the meaning of the right to remain silent.

本来、司法手続では何人にも供述義務が課せられていることを前提とする立場から、自己に不利益な供述については供述義務が解除されるという意味で「特権」と呼ばれている[2]。この特権は沿革的にはイギリスにおいて裁判所による宣誓供述の強制に対抗する形で成立した[3]。アメリカではアメリカ合衆国憲法修正第5条、日本では日本国憲法第38条第1項で具体化されている。

Originally, in judicial proceedings, it is assumed that everyone is obligated to give a statement, so it is called a ``privilege'' in the sense that the obligation to give a statement is lifted if the person makes a statement that is detrimental to the person.[2 ]. Historically, this privilege was established in England as a way to counter the enforcement of sworn statements by courts.[3] In the United States, it is embodied in the Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution, and in Japan, it is embodied in Article 38, Section 1 of the Japanese Constitution.
