Inspired by the departure of SMAP Mori Katsuyuki and SMAP's 21st single CD ``Naked King ~ Shibutoku Tsuyoku ~'', he left Pia Corporation. In 1996, he became a freelance writer.[2]
While writing film reviews and interviews with actors and directors for ``Pia'', ``Invitation'', magazines, websites, and pamphlets for Japanese movie theaters, he worked on his first novelization of ``Kisaragi'' in 2007.[3] He is in charge of the first round of judging at the Mainichi Film Contest, and has participated in the Best/Ten Worst of Film Arts for over 10 years.
SMAP森且行の脱退とSMAPの21枚目シングルCD「はだかの王様～シブトクつよく～」に感化され、ぴあ株式会社を退社。1996年からフリーランスのライターに転向した[2]。
「ぴあ」「Invitation」、雑誌、Web、日本映画の劇場用パンフレット等に、映画評や俳優・監督のインタビュー記事を執筆しつつ、2007年、初のノベライズ「キサラギ」を手がける[3]。毎日映画コンクールで第1次審査を担当、「映画芸術」のベスト/ワーストテンには10年以上参加している。
