The main character of this movie, which deals with the themes of loss and death, is Minako, a news reporter who was struck by a disaster and passed away, leaving her with regrets. Minako, played by Masami Nagasawa, gradually comes to terms with her grief as she participates in a "parade" where the dead gather once a month to search for the person they all wanted to meet. Yojiro Noda (RADWIMPS), who also worked with director Fujii on the movie ``10 Years of Life Expectancy,'' created the soundtrack and theme song ``Nami Shigusa,'' which runs parallel to this story.
喪失や死をテーマにしたこの映画の主人公は、災害に見舞われ未練を残してこの世を去った報道記者の美奈子。長澤まさみ演じる美奈子は、月に一度死者たちが集い、それぞれの会いたかった人を探す“パレード”に参加する中で、少しずつ悲しみと向き合っていく。そんな物語に並走する劇伴と主題歌「なみしぐさ」を手がけたのが、藤井監督とは映画「余命10年」でもタッグを組んだ野田洋次郎（RADWIMPS）だ。
