今年4月に最新アルバム『The King Of Limbs』を発表したばかりのレディオヘッドが、それに続く新曲“Staircase”のライヴ映像をバンドのYouTube公式チャンネルにて公開した。

Radiohead, who just released their latest album ``The King Of Limbs'' in April of this year, have released a live video of their new song ``Staircase'' on the band's official YouTube channel.


The video is excerpted from live footage of songs from The King Of Limbs, filmed as part of the band's long-time collaborator Nigel Godrich's music program From The Basement.


この動画は、バンドの長年のコラボレーターであるナイジェル・ゴッドリッチによる音楽プログラム〈From The Basement〉の一環として撮影された、『The King Of Limbs』収録曲のライヴ映像から抜粋されたもの。セッションには、ポーティスヘッドやロニ・サイズとの仕事で知られるドラマーのクライヴ・ディーマーが参加しており、ポリリズミカルなビートとトム・ヨークの幽玄な歌声との対比が印象的な楽曲となっている。バンドのドラマーであるフィリップ・セルウェイは、「君の目が二重に見えてるわけじゃないよ。ドッペルゲンガーのようなドラマーたちは、僕自身とクライヴ・ディーマーなんだ。クライヴは僕がもっとも敬愛するドラマーのひとりだから、彼が僕との共演に同意してくれたときは本当に興奮したね。僕らのプレイを気に入ってくれると嬉しいよ」とコメントしている。

Drummer  Clive Deamer, known for his work with Portishead and Roni Size, participated in the sessions, and the band's drummer, Philip Selway, said, ``You're not seeing double.'' Yo. My doppelgänger drummers are myself and Clive Deemer.
