[日本の良いところ2]

こんばんございます。
フィリピンの語学学校は、国籍は違いますが全員アジア圏からきていましたが、オーストラリアは、南米から来ている人も多くとても新鮮でございます。思えば、南米の方と初めて話したかもしれません。

南米の方はイメージ通りフレンドリーなので私が人見知りを100%マックスで発揮してても話しかけてくれてとても優しいのです。

同じ日に入学したこともあり、エクアドル人Sさんと友達になることができたのですが、彼女の話を聞いてまたも日本の良さに気づくことができました。
それはワーキングホリデービザが使えるという点です。
リスニング力は壊滅的なので間違っている可能性はありますが、Sさんの話によりますとエクアドルではワーキングホリデービザが認められていないらしく、学生ビザしか認められていないとのことです。1年間海外で働くことができるワーキングホリデービザが認められていることはとてもありがたいと思いました。

またSさんになぜ英語を勉強しているのか問うたところ、将来的にアメリカに移住したいと思っているようです。海外の人とただ話せるようになりたいだけで英語を勉強している自分とつい比べてしまいました….
動機は自分のチキンレッグとハムタクさんのハムくらいの差がありますが、気持ちはSさんに負けないくらい英語を話せるようになりたいです。

While all  students in language school of the Philippine came from Asian countries, in the case of Australia, some students came from South America. It is very new to me. Come to think of it, it is my first time to talk with people from South America.

South American people are very friendly as my image even if i was shy.

I’ve become friends with S who is from Ecuador because we entered into the school at the same day. Listening to her story I could realize the goodness of Japan.
It is that Japanese can use a working holiday visa. It might be wrong because I’m not good at listening but she said that she didn’t accept to use a working holiday visa but a student visa. I felt very grateful that we can use working holiday visa, which allow us to work abroad for a year, is available.

When I ask her the reason why you were studying English, she said to me she would want to move to America un in the future. From my point of me, my reason is that I just want to talk to the foreigners in English…
Although the motivation between me and her is completely different, I’d like to be a good English speaker.
