Unknown Car In My Garden
Today, I bumped into a weird phenomenon.
It's the Sunday morning. Me and my son were out to the garden and played with brand new water balloons. Do you know water balloon? it's a little rubber balloon to be inflated by a water instead of the air. Those colorful balloons were clipped to the tips of bundled numerous straws. So if you attach its cap to the tap and open it, the water gushes into the balloons and inflates! The water balloon is soft and cool, so he likes its texture. And if you put needle into it and make a little hole, you got the water gun. Therefore, we were putting twenty of those colorful balloons on the artificial lawn and contemplating how to play with them, when this mysterious woman showed up.
Firstly, I noticed the blue car slowly came in front of my garden, and the woman inside the car bowed a little toward me. Who was she? So I thought. Then I ignored and back to play with my kid. Then the car stopped and she showed up from the car, coming to our garden. Was she lost and wanted to ask the way? But she asked me "Is this the place to park?"
Place to park? I stunned a little. Then after the seconds, I came to realize. A parking spaces sharing platform. Wow. I completely forgot that I registered to one of them almost a year ago. She was the customer! In a kind of perplexedly, I feigned to be calm and welcomed her. Put the chain off of my garden, told her where to park. She parked her car and asked me the way to the shrine near my house. I taught her the way. Then she thanked me and left my garden. Looking the unknown blur car in our garden, my boy asked me "What is this car? Is she going to stay my home tonight?"
After an hour or so, while I was in the home, she seemed to left and this blue car was not there any more. Then I opened the Gmail, noticed to receive the message saying that I earned 500 yen. The reservation mail had been received on the night before, so I couldn't noticed it. Hmm, anyway, this is the sharing economy. My first experience.
It's weird to know that the value could be produced by sharing the part of the garden. She needed the place to park to go to the shrine, and I coincidently could offer the place near the shrine. So she payed me. Demand and supply. If such a usual space could be valued, I bet there must be any more things to be shared? It's better to ponder about it.
