" I am Zlatan Ibrahimovic"- thoughts of Mysterio
Hello, my name is Mysterio, which is a nickname btw, and today I am announcing to the world that I take my first step in writing a Note. You may feel as if this were "A New Year new me" type stuff and guess what? You are correct! Anyway, I am going to write as frequently as possible, and hopefully, there is somebody out there who will read my articles and relate to them.
Today I will write a commentary of the book called, " I am Zlatan Ibrahimovic". Giving a bit of the introduction of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, he is a Swedish professional football player, who has scored around 400 goals in his career and played for 10 clubs including PSG, Juventus, Inter Millan, Barcelona, Manchester United, AC Millan and so on! Not only he has just played for those famous clubs, but he has also won many trophies, which he mentions in the book that winning trophies and ultimately every game is a source of motivation for him.
I decided to read this book because of an interesting conversation with the person who was talking about famous people in Sweden. He told me Zlatan is unique especially because of his personality and ideas. I like football myself and only knew Zlatan from interviews and videos where his true image might be twisted, manipulated, and biased by the media. I wanted to understand further who Zlatan is through the process of reading his autograph and having a hope that there are some intakes for my life despite our personalities being completely different.
So I read this book in two days, a very intense story, and what I understood as a sort of message from Zlatan is the importance of self-confidence that links to consistency with your passion. I sometimes recognize when Zlatan scores a goal and he celebrates with the gesture to silence the crowd or putting his arms wide and it is apparent "a sign of winner" to Zlatan. He mentions in the book there have been many doubters in his life that he wouldn't make it because of ego, lack of discipline, and so on. I reckon there are multiple reasons why he has overcome obstacles and the main one is his belief within himself. He was never an elite player in childhood because of his physique, background, attitude, and so on. He grew up in a tough environment where the family was torn apart, not necessarily supporting him mentally and physically, and he sometimes felt violent and isolated within his world.
"You can get out of the ghetto but nobody can get ghetto out of your mind" is a phrase to memorize from this book, and to me, this quote shows why Zlatan is not satisfied with the success he has in front of him because he remembers where he comes from and can not stop and be satisfied with where he is. And this is in a good way because he wants to be better, stronger, and a greater football player. At age 40, being rich as hell, having almost every trophy you can think of in football already, and who can be still motivated right? Well, Zlatan surely is and that's what makes him special.
I felt very encouraged, and also a bit surprising because Zlatan is not just an overly self-focused person or always wanna be a show-off. Maybe this is to some extent he is older now, but he mentions that he now prefers younger players to shine, and considers himself as more of a leader who brings experience, advice, and direction towards a team. He also says that outside of football, he is just a normal dude, and his children will always shine wherever they are and he is a father to support them.
You should check his famous quotes and lines in the video too because he has a sense of humor too!
