Super Crazy Japanese Slang

Some Smashers in Sydney teach me English.
I always appreciate you.

The next is my turn.
I tell you 5 Japanese slang.

Thanks to my friends, my English is better than before. However, it's still bad.
Reading my English might be hard for you, but if it's ok, you can read it all.

諭吉(ゆきち)(Yukichi)

Do you know who Yukichi is?
Yukichi is him.

This guy

He was born in 1834.
His face is used on 10,000 yen note now.
We sometimes call 10,000 yen note Yukichi.

e.g.
After using a lot of money, you can say "where is my Yukichi?"
If you have a lot of 10,000 yen notes,  you can say "I have a lot of Yukichi."

It's so funny.
Yukichi is loved by the most many Japanese people.

だが断る(だがことわる)(Daga kotowaru)

If you like Jojo, you might know this phrase.

This guy

This means that I absolutely refuse something.
That's all, but it's really interesting how to use this.

e.g.
A : You should go to Betty's Burger!  That burger is so good!
B : It's good.
A : My recommendation is Classic Burger.
B : Oh, so nice!  How's that price?
A : It's cheap!  You should go right now!
B : All good!  だが断る!

Like this.
B agrees with A's idea until the middle, but he finally refuses.
The point is to say this phrase a bit loudly.
Then, A can notice that is joking.

神(かみ)(kami)

神 usually means God.
But if this word is slang, this means a very very very kind person, super play, and something that helps you.

e.g. 1
A : Oh, I don't have money to buy food.
B : I can buy it for you!  Never mind!
A : You're 神.

e.g. 2
When I play Smash and I do 0 to death combo, you can say "神!?"

In my own view, we often use this word when we are surprised.

リアルファイト(real fight)

This phrase means fighting in real.  Not in video games.

Have you ever got frustrated, playing video games as a child?  Then, have you ever felt like punching your opponent?

If you punch your opponent, リアルファイト is started.

リアルファイト means that you and your opponent get frustrated in video games or card games, and fight in real.

I used to do リアルファイト with my younger brother 20 years ago when we played Smash Melee.
I used to beat him in that game, but I used to be beaten by him in リアルファイト.

マブダチ(まぶだち)(mabudachi)

マブダチ means best friends.
親友(Shinyu) also means best friends, but this word is formal so unreliable for me.

マブ(mabu) means radiant.
ダチ(dachi) means friends.
These two words combine to mean radiant friends.

Some naughty guys in Japan often use this word, so this word is rarely used, but I like this sound and source of meaning.  I prefer マブダチ.

Thank you

I picked up some Japanese slang that you can't look up in a dictionary.

How is this blog?  Do you like it?
