Are you familiar with the history of pirates in the Caribbean?

I'm embarassed to say I'm not familiar with the history of the Caribbean at all.

I learned about pirates in school in Jamaica. Did you learn about any pirates in scholl in Japan?

I don't remeber. Now the only pirates I'm familiar with are from movies or novels like Jack Sparrow from Pirate of the Carribean or Captain Hook from Peter Pan.

The Bahamas was a haven for pirates about three or four hundred ago.

What brought pirates to the Bahamas?

I think pirates moved into the Bahamas because there were so many ships coming from Europe, and then during some European conflicts, I think a few Caribbean islands were run by pirates.
