唯一今に残るヴァージニア・ウルフの肉声

Soundcloudで曲を探していたら偶然にも、ヴァージニア・ウルフ、現存する唯一の肉声録音。もっと華やいだ高いトーンだと勝手に想像してました。後年、本に収められたようですが、作家処世と筆耕の妙を凝らすこととの矛盾について、やや感情的だけれど一般論として語っています。半分程度しか聞き取れないのではありますが... 😓
You can hear her only surviving physical voice of Virginia Woolf, which was recorded by BBC radio and broadcasted in 1937. Unfortunately, I can only understand about half of her discourse because of my poor dictational achievement in English and her elaborate speaking. Yet, I think she talks about the struggle between the subtlety of writing and the power of words to betray it.
