英文の読み方　it seems that 〜

　Today it seems that the Earth is in danger.

 
　it seems that〜は、「〜ように思える」したがって、上の文は、

「地球は危険な状態にあるように思える。」となります。

  seem は、長文を読んでいると度々出てくる単語ですが、次のような表現もあります。

　The Earth seems to be in danger.

　It seems that he is ill. = He seems to be ill.

　同じ意味になる表現に、it appears that ~ があります。

　It appears that she is happy. = She appears to be happy.
