"Earthen Wings of an Angel"

Light filtering through gaps in the clouds gently illuminated the hallway of the Angel Academy. A single angel was hurriedly rushing through. Terra, possessing the power to control earth. Her wings were slightly tinged with the color of soil, and occasionally, small leaves could be found nestled among her fluffy feathers.

"Oh no, I'm late again!" Terra cried in her heart as she hurried towards the classroom. With each of her footsteps, the flowers in the hallway's planters swayed happily. It was evidence of her ability unconsciously activating.

When she opened the classroom door, the lesson had already begun. Michael-sensei, the teacher of Angel Studies, looked at Terra with a kind yet slightly exasperated gaze.

"My, Terra. Overslept on a cloud again, did we?"

A ripple of giggles spread through the classroom. However, it wasn't malicious laughter, but rather filled with warmth. Terra sheepishly scratched her head as she took her seat.

Next to her, her best friend Leticia was sitting with her usual cool demeanor. Leticia was the top student in their year. Her intelligence and grace were the envy of many angels.

"Good morning, Terra. Are you ready for today's exam?" Leticia asked casually.

Terra barely managed to suppress an "Eh!? Exam!?" She had completely forgotten about it.

As classes ended and lunch break began, Terra was in the academy garden, eating lunch with Leticia and discussing the exam.

"What should I do, Leticia? I haven't studied at all," Terra said dejectedly.

Leticia smiled gently and replied, "It's okay, Terra. You have wonderful talent. You just don't know how to bring it out yet."

Encouraged by these words, Terra regained some of her spirits. As they talked, the grass and flowers around Terra gradually stretched upward, as if responding to her feelings.

The afternoon exam began. As the question papers were distributed, Terra nervously gripped her pencil. The first question was, "Describe methods to enrich the celestial garden."

Terra couldn't help but smile. This, she could answer. She closed her eyes and focused on the earth power dormant within her. Various ideas began to surface in her mind. Soil quality, watering frequency, light exposure... She became absorbed in writing her answers.

After the exam, Terra breathed a sigh of relief. Thinking "I might have done okay," she left the classroom only to run into Gabriel-sensei in the hallway.

"Terra, do you have a moment?" the teacher called out kindly.

Thinking "Oh no, I'm going to be scolded again," Terra timidly followed the teacher to the staff room.

In the staff room, Principal Uriel was also present. Terra's wings trembled with nervousness.

"Terra, we've looked at your exam paper," Principal Uriel said in a gentle voice. "It was excellent. Your deep understanding and love for the earth really came through."

Terra's eyes widened in surprise. "Really?"

Gabriel-sensei added with a smile, "Terra, you may seem distracted during class, but you truly have wonderful talent. From now on, I hope you'll have more confidence and showcase your abilities."

Hearing these words, Terra's face lit up. The air around her shimmered warmly, and the potted plants in the staff room simultaneously sprouted new buds.

"Yes! I'll do my best!" Terra responded energetically.

That evening, Terra was walking home with Leticia. The two were happily hopping along the clouds, tinted by the setting sun.

"Hey, Leticia. I'm going to work harder from now on," Terra said with determination.

Leticia smiled gently and replied, "That's good. But remember, it's okay for Terra to just be Terra. Everyone loves your clumsy side too, you know."

At these words, Terra smiled bashfully. At their feet, the flowers on Earth visible through the clouds seemed to wave at them.

The laughter of angels echoed through the celestial realm. It was like heavenly music of blessing. Terra spread her wings wide and took off into the sunset sky, her heart filled with hope for tomorrow.

There would surely be various difficulties and failures in the future. But Terra whispered in her heart that this too was part of being herself. Around her were friends who always supported and encouraged her. And above all, there was great potential sleeping within herself.

The first star began to shine in the night sky. It was like a light of hope illuminating Terra's future. She took a deep breath, her heart swelling with anticipation for tomorrow as she headed home. The days at the angel school would surely continue to be a series of wonderful adventures.
