Today we had to wake up early again to go to the airport by Northfield Lines bus. As we arrived there earlier than our flight, we enjoyed going around. Especially, we looked for souvenirs for Daichi's host family (a towel and a honey) because we were going to their house in Holland and ate lunch at Mcdonald's, having American-size french fries, drink and double cheeseburger. Later we took a plane for less than 2 hours though it was delayed a little bit. The scenery of Minneapolis and Grand Rapids from inside of the plane was splendid.
Soon after our arrival, we met his host family, and they took us to their house chatting about our life. And we were so astonished to see their house!! They had three Christmas trees, a huge screen, a special fridge with crushed ice, and a fireplace. There is a lake behind the house. About the trees, host mother told us that she bought ornaments at each place she visited, which made us so moved. And surprisingly, she gave us Christmas present (socks, a scarf, a poach, notes, a jell, and a letter)! We started to eat dinner after their introduction of the house and their photos. We had cheesy potato, cranberry jam, ham, devil eggs, and two types of cakes. All of them were really good:)
After the dinner, they drove us to downtown and his college, Hope college. I got so excited about visiting downtown! His dorm was so cute. He introduced the campus then.
