世間では年度がかわり、新年度ですね🌸

さて、研究ネタとして、
先日のICEBIT2024の発表レポです。
昨年度の共同研究は紆余曲折し、当初の予定していた紀要執筆でも試行錯誤で、結局出せないとなり、その後ICEBITを目指すことになりました。秋から冬にかけて取り組みをすすめてこちらもまた右往左往・試行錯誤で、ほんとにホントのギリギリで完成し、発表できました💡

ICEBIT2024- 学会発表

International Conference of Business, Economic, and Information Technology

ICEBITとは、International Conference of Business, Economic, and Information Techonologyで、グアム大学などが主催になっているビジネス学会です。経済やビジネスのほか、サステナビリティ、ケーススタディなど様々な発表ジャンルがあります。
発表タイトル：Research about raw materials with consideration for biodiversity in the cosmetics industry in Japan
（国内化粧品業界における生物多様性に配慮した原料調達に関する研究）
論文というより研究ノートといった印象ですが、今後化粧品業界やそれ以外の業界でも、サステナブルな原料調達とは何かを定義できる一筋の光となりえるのではないかと考えています。

Abst.： Although policies and guidelines for sustainable procurement of raw materials in the production of cosmetics made from natural resources are discussed, there is not enough research on what kind of issues there are with regard to biodiversity. In this study, through a qualitative survey of four major Japan cosmetics companies, we have identified four issues that prevent progress in the procurement of sustainable raw materials with regard to biodiversity; 1) Procurement rules but no mandatory environmental, 2) Adoption of substitution of raw materials by new technologies, 3) Japan‘s unique distribution structure and in-house procurement and 4) Adopting eco-marks other than RSRO or FSC certification to establish GSM. By addressing these issues, companies have the potential to achieve sustainable procurement of raw materials while minimizing the impact on biodiversity.

研究は、生物多様性に配慮した持続可能な原料調達とは何なのかを定義するために、現状報告として、国内化粧品大手4社のサステナビリティについて調査しました。4社の公開情報などをもとに調べたので、誰でもわかる内容ではありますが、どのような視点があるかについては、これまでの研究レビューを参考にしたので、そのあたりは大変面白い研究結果と今後の布石になりました。
ちなみに、国内大手4社とは、資生堂・KOSE・POLA・FANCLです。
