ニュージーランド鳥日記 / Life in New Zealand with a variety of Birds
ニュージーランドでの生活を始めて４ヶ月が経ちました。早いなと思うと同時に、まだそれくらいしか経ってないのかと感じるくらい濃い時間を過ごせています。ありがたいです。
いろんな国から来た人たち、様々な文化との出会いで日々溢れていますが、同じくらい初めましてな瞬間が多いのが鳥たち、そう、野鳥たち。ちょっとした公園がもう動物園。
せっかくなので出会った鳥たちとその日の思い出をまとめて、
ここでの生活の一部の記録として残してみようと思います。
It's been 4 months since I started living in NewZealand, and I have experienced so many things that it feels like much longer.
New experiences come to me every day. I have met people from many countries and cultures, and I've seen various species of birds. Yes, Birds!
We can see them easily everywhere, and neighborhood parks alomost feel like zoos. That's quite interesting for me, so I will note the birds as part of my diary.
プケコ / Pukeko
プケコちゃんとの最初の出会いは近所の公園。フラッと散歩しに行ったら目の前の光景にびっくり。
そこそこのサイズ感の鳥が、のそのそ歩いてる。しかもめっちゃいる（笑）
"Who are you?"
Many Pukekos are walking around in the park. There are as many of them as pigeons in Japan. I was surprised because they are completely unfamiliar to me.
メモ：ニュージーランドネイティブ。Pukekoはマオリ語。名前かわいい。飛ぶのは苦手だけど走る泳ぐは得意。新しい環境に慣れるのが上手だから今でも多く生き残ってる。しぶとく生き抜けるの、ちょっと羨ましい。
notes: The Pukeko is a New Zealander. "Pukeko" is a Māori word, and the name sounds cute. They prefer walking, running, and swimming rather than flying. They are good at adapting to new environments, allowing them to survive for a long time. I admire their abilities a little bit.

なんとなく見たことあるようなファッション…と眺めていたらピンときた。既視感の正体は私のアウター。色味が完全に一緒。
とういことで、後日そのアウターを着用して会いに行きました！♡
"Will I be able to blend in with them if I wear my favorite jacket?"
So, I put it on and went to the park to say Hi~!
いつか仲間だと思ってもらえるかな～
Hope I can belong with them someday：）
