（あらすじ） ７

　以登が、藤井勘解由を五間川の岸辺に呼び出したのは、夏の終わりごろだった。詰問をしても、薄ら笑っているだけだった。その姿に、さすがの以登も背筋が冷たくなった。それに藤井は無楽流の居合を遣うという。侮れない。藤井は以登がここに来たことを知っているものがいないと知ると、するすると後ろに下がった。以登を亡きものにしようとしているのだ。だが、逆に以登は間合いを詰め、勘解由の刀が鞘走る寸前に、懐剣で胸を一刺しした。

　　　It was around the end of summer when Ito summoned Fujii Kageyu to the banks of the Goken River. When she questioned him, he only smiled. Seeing that, even Ito sent a chill down her spine. In addition, Fujii is said to perform the quick sword-drawing technique called 'Iai' at the Muraku school. She shouldn't underestimate him. When Fujii found out that no one knew Ito was here, he stepped back. He is trying to kill Ito.
