17 ”The Story of My Life”
1 Overview of ”The Story of My Life”
This is a rare and fascinating autobiography written for the first time by a writer who believes that ``I don't think my past is worth writing about.'' His hometown of Yamagata, his birthplace and family, his teachers and classmates, during and after the war, and his battle with illness. It is also a rare record that reveals the source of Fujisawa's literature. The definitive edition of the biography, with a detailed chronology at the end of the book.
He wrote 13 pieces in ”The Story of My Life”(Self-Confirmation ~ Death and Rebirth), and 19 pieces in “My Memories of Yamagata (Memories ~ Murayama dialect, etc.). Although both works have an overall continuity, they are each written in different styles, so there are 32 pieces in total.
