１３ 『小説の周辺』概要
国民的作家としてあまたの時代小説を上梓しながら、自身を語ることは稀だった藤沢周平が、郷里・鶴岡での幼年時代、師や友との交流、創作の秘話など、人生折々の忘れ得ぬ情景を綴った滋味深いエッセイ集。1990年、文春文庫として刊行後、版を重ね、中国でも翻訳。翻訳版（中国語簡体字版）が、中国で最も栄誉ある文学賞の一つとされる第八回「魯迅文学賞」（2022年9月20日）の翻訳文学部門に決まった。

13 Overview of “Around the Novels”
Fujisawa Shuhei, who published many historical novels as a nationally recognized author, but rarely talked about himself, talks about the various moments of his life, including his childhood in his hometown of Tsuruoka, his interactions with his teachers and friends, and the secret behind his creation. A rich collection of essays depicting unforgettable scenes. After being published as Bunshun Bunko in 1990, it went through several editions and was also translated into Chinese. The translated version (Simplified Chinese version) has been selected for the translated literature category of the 8th Lu Xun Literary Award (September 20, 2022), one of China's most prestigious literary awards.
