After the Full Bloom (A Digest、Japanese-English Translation)

Two years later, Magoshiro committed suicide. Ito sent a messenger to her fiancé, Saisuke Katagiri, and asked him to investigate the truth of the case. He was a man of bad appearance, but he was the only one she could rely on since she would have a congratulatory ceremony in autumn. According to Saisuke's research, Magoshiro was the first messenger to the shogunate, and Fujii Kageyu, who happened to be visiting, instructed Magoshiro on the grounds that he was familiar with etiquette. Fujii was involved in Magoshiro's suicide. Magoshiro became the domain's messenger as a player, but he made a fatal mistake. However, it was Kageyu Fujii who gave all these instructions. Magoshiro seems to have been aware of the affair between Fujii and his wife. The rest is just a guess by Saisuke, but it seems that Fujii took the initiative. However, it is said that he returned to the Edo residence and committed suicide, saying that the procedure was incomplete and that he had brought shame to the domain. Fujii must have taught Magoshiro the wrong procedure. (To be continued)
