今年は日記を書くことを目標にしていたがもう2月18日になってしまった。
これが私。
今日はいつも通り朝から仕事。
フルフレックスだけど会議の時間は決まっており、なんとなく勤務時間が決まってしまう。
仕事の難易度は高く、勉強の日々、、
勉強といえば、去年の12月にフィリピンのセブ島に1ヶ月語学留学した！
初めてガチで英語に集中できる環境で英語を勉強して、外国の友達もたくさんできた。
お母さんがフィリピン人だからマニラには20回ぐらい行ったことがあるけど、今回セブは初めて。
マニラと言葉も違うし不安だったけど、留学生活は人生最高の時間と言えるぐらい楽しかった。
1ヶ月だけど沢山の友達に恵まれた。
帰国後も友達たちと毎日英語でチャットをして、いい勉強になっている。
留学中はできるだけ日本人と会話しないようにしていたけど、帰国後友達となかなか会えない環境はとても寂しい。
英語について初級から中級程度に読む力は上がっているけど、まだ自力では満足のいくアウトプットが出せない。
海外の友達とチャットで冗談を言い合ったり、面白い写真を送り合ったり、今完全に私の仕事のモチベーションになっている。
これは今年だけじゃなくてずっと続けたいな。
帰国後もオンラインレッスンを続けているけど、実際にレッスンを受けるだけだと力は伸びないと実感。
仕事をやりつつ勉強って難しい。

My goal this year was to write a diary, but it’s already February 18th.
This is me.
Today, like usual, I started work in the morning.
Although I have flexible hours, the meeting times are set, so my working hours are somewhat determined.
The difficulty of my work is high, and it’s a daily routine of studying…
Speaking of studying, I went to Cebu, Philippines for a month of language study last December!
It was the first time I could really focus on English in an environment like that, and I made a lot of foreign friends.
Since my mom is Filipino, I’ve been to Manila about 20 times, but this was my first time in Cebu.
The language is different from Manila, so I was a bit anxious, but the study abroad experience was so enjoyable that I can say it was one of the best times of my life.
Even though it was just a month, I was blessed with many friends.
After returning to Japan, I’ve been chatting in English with my friends every day, and it’s been great practice.
During my study abroad, I tried to avoid speaking Japanese as much as possible, but now that I’m back, it’s really lonely because I can’t meet my friends easily.
My reading skills have improved from beginner to intermediate level, but I still can’t produce satisfactory output on my own.
Chatting with my overseas friends, joking around, and sharing funny photos has now become my motivation for work.
This is something I want to continue, not just this year but for a long time.
Since returning, I’ve continued with online lessons, but I’ve realized that just taking lessons isn’t enough to improve my skills.
Studying while working is tough.
