Why did I become a fan of Diego?

I fell in love with soccer after the 2002 World Cup between Japan and Korea.
My first favorite team was Real Madrid.
The Madrid derby was one of the most famous games in the world.
Diego was at Atletico de Madrid.
It was a rival team, but he was a very interesting player.
He played in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
He led Uruguay to fourth place and won the MVP.

Four years later, my hero appeared before me.
I met him early in the morning at Kansai International Airport.
Many supporters had gathered at the airport early in the morning.

He was walking in front of me with sparkling blue eyes. He looked surprised to be welcomed by so many supporters.

I received a muffler towel from a core supporter, took a picture with it, and left the airport in the car that picked me up.

After that, we stopped by the clubhouse and went to Yanmar Stadium.

I was unable to go see the game due to work, but Cerezo opened the stadium to the public and unveiled the team in their uniforms as many supporters looked on.
I had never been to Maishima from home and decided to find out how to get there from home.

2002年の日韓ワールドカップをきっかけにサッカーが好きになりました。

私が最初に気に入ったチームはレアル・マドリードでした。

マドリッドダービーは、世界で最も有名な試合の1つでした。ディエゴはアトレティコ・デ・マドリッドにいました。
ライバルチームでしたが、とても興味深い選手でした。

2010年に南アフリカで開催されたワールドカップにウルグアイは出場し
彼はウルグアイを4位に導きMVPを獲得しました。優勝チームなどから選出されることはよくあることですが、４位からの選出は珍しかったので覚えている人もいると思います。

4年後の2014年、私のヒーローが私の目の前に現れました。

当時は新聞記事で「あのフォルランが来る！」と言う見出しに興奮しました。

いよいよ来日する日が発表され、早朝関西国際空港に彼に会いに行きました。
沢山のサポーターが早朝から空港に集まっていました。ウルグアイ代表のユニフォームを着ているサポーターもいました。

そして私の目の前をキラキラした青い瞳の彼が歩いていました。沢山のサポーターから歓迎を受けて目を丸くし驚いた様子でした。

コアサポーターからマフラータオルを受け取りそれを手に取り記念撮影をし、出迎えた車に乗って空港を後にしました。

そのあとはクラブハウスへ立ち寄り、ヤンマースタジアムへ。

私は仕事で見に行けなかったがセレッソはスタジアムを開放し、沢山のサポーターが見守る中、ユニフォームに袖を通した姿をお披露目した。

自宅から舞洲まで一度も行ったことがなく、自宅からどのように行けばいいのか調べることにした。
