米 Trump 大統領が retweet したなかに、Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook CEO) の〈民間企業が真実の判定者となるべきでない〉という趣旨の発言を取上げたものがあった (下)。'“Zuckerberg says private companies shouldn't be 'the arbiter of truth'” と Lorgan Dobson (共和党の世論調査専門家) のスタッフは述べている。

Zuckerberg の元の 発言 は次の通り。

'We have a different policy than, I think, Twitter on this.'
'I just believe strongly that Facebook shouldn't be the arbiter of truth of everything that people say online. Private companies probably shouldn't be, especially these platform companies, shouldn't be in the position of doing that.'
