堀口大學は「天使ウルトビーズ」と題を附した（『ジャン・コクトー全集01—詩』、東京創元社、1984）。

パリの Librairie Stock からの本（1925）には Man Ray の写真が1枚附く。写真と云っても、普通の写真じゃない。
'Rayogramme' と称する（つまり、マン・レイはフォトグラムのことを「レイヨグラム」と呼んだ）。印画紙の上に物を置き、それを感光させたもの。
この 'Rayogramme' だが、つくづく眺めがいがあるようにも思えるし、その かいが ないようにも思える。
これが「天使ウルトビーズ」を捉えた写真だという表向きの物謂いを信じるなら、その天使なるものは、左下のクマのぬいぐるみもどきのようなものか。大きな羽が2枚うしろに見える。手に持っているペーパナイフのようなものは剣か。頭上の大きな円いものは、光輪（halo）にしては、円錐形に近いようにも見える。その光輪と天使の右手とを、棒がつないでいるように見えるのは一体どういうことか。
