A suitable face for a 10,000 yen note.

New notes have been issued in July of this year.

A comedian said his own story below on a TV show.

“At the first time I saw Shibusawa Eiichi on a new 1,000 yen note, I thought that Shibusawa’s face is suitable for 10,000 yen note, not for 1,000 yen note.”

One day a lady went to a café and spent some time. When she leave, the total was 900yen, so she paid with 1,000 yen note.
Then a café staff brought 9,100 yen as a change.

The comedian was right.
