Profile:
My name is Makoto Yasuhara. I am a researcher of Japanese culture. I also make and release movies about geishas. I continue to explore the old-established places and streets of Tokyo. The focus of my research is on the culture from the late Sengoku period to the early Edo period, approximately from 1500 to 1700.

安原眞琴と申します。日本文化の研究者ですが、芸者さんの映画も作って公開しており、東京の老舗と町の散策も続けています。研究の中心は戦国末期から江戸初期の文化、およそ1500年から1700年までです。
Hello and welcome!
I’ve just created my first blog on note. Here’s what I hope to share.
1. Projects created together with my students in my university classes.
I teach at ICU (International Christian University), and I’d like to slowly and leisurely introduce the outcomes of our hard work in those classes.
ICU is located in Musashino City, with Musashi-Sakai Station on the JR Chuo Line as the nearest train station. To study the local area around ICU from a cultural and historical perspective, my students and I conducted historical walking tours of the area and interviews with long-standing Japanese confectionery shops nearby. Below are the confectionery shops that kindly agreed to be interviewed.
Asahi no Karinto in Musashino City, nearest station: Musashi-Sakai Station
Hanami Senbei and Kameya Mannendo in Nishitokyo City, nearest station: Hibarigaoka Station
Shimizuya in Higashimurayama City, nearest station: Higashimurayama Station
and so on
We will be posting the students' reports one by one. We hope that people from overseas will also have the chance to visit and enjoy these traditional shops.
2. My Personal Thoughts and Research
I’d like to freely write about things happening around me. There may not be anything particularly special, but I’d be happy if you’d take a casual look.

はじめてnoteでブログを作りました。
こんなことを発信したいと思っています。
１、大学の授業で学生といっしょに作ったもの
私は#ICU（国際基督教大学）で教えているので、その授業での学生の成果を、のんびりゆっくり紹介していきたいと思っています。
ICUは武蔵野にあります。最寄駅はJR中央線の武蔵境駅です。学生たちと私は、ICU近辺の地域を文化史的な視点から勉強するために、大学周辺の歴史散策と老舗の和菓子屋さんへのインタビューを行いました。以下が、快くインタビューを受けてくださった和菓子屋さんです。
