What do I exactly do?
So this year, JR EAST has selected 15 stations for Pokémon Stamps.
Those stamps are located outside the gate, (the area where you buy tickets) and all you have to do is press those stamps on a sheet that's being distributed and head to Yokohama Station to claim the prizes!
* Prizes can be claimed from 10:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M
* Watch directions to the Goal Counter from North Central Gate (Youtube)
What are the prizes?
1. Post Card
2. A4-Size Folder (Poly File Jacket)
3. Toto Bag
About Courses
You can do either one or both courses!
1.Tokyo Metropolitan Area Course
There are 10 stations for this course and they are all accessible from Yokohama in about 1 hour. The Prizes you can get from this course is a Post Card (requires 3 type of stamps) and a A4-Size Folder (Poly File Jacket, requires all 10 stamps).
2.Shinkansen Course
You will need only one stamp from this course. Get a stamp and head to Yokohama to claim a Toto Bag!
The picture below shows which station has the stamps for this course.
1: Sendai 2: Morioka 3: Shin-Aomori 4: Echigo-Yuzawa 5:Nagano
*The nearest station from Yokohama will be Echigo-Yuzawa (No.5 in the map)
How do I start?
Look around a station in JR East and check the pamphlet areas- Nearly all stations should be distributing the sheet (pamphlet). Otherwise, they should have one near the stamp. If you don't see one, ask a station staff near by.
"Pokémon Stamp Rally Pamphlet please"-say these words slowly and clearly and they should be able to understand.
*1 sheet per a person please!
Finding the stamps
All of the stamps are located outside of the gate. Hop on a train, get out of the gate, find the stamp, press the stamp, go through the gate and hop on a train. 14 out of 15 stamps are available while the stations are open, (which means that they are available from the first train to the last train) but be mindful of Shibuya, the stamps are only available from 7:00A.M to 10:00 P.M.
*If you see the something like board below, it means that you're close to the stamp. Yay!
* Each station has only one place for the stamp. Some stations has several exits, so I recommend you check which exit you have to go out.
Check where the stamps are located in each station
Do I have to stamp 'em all?
Nope! The minimum number of stamps you need is 3 for "Tokyo Metropolitan Course" and you only need 1 for the "Shinkansen Course".
*No extra reward will be given if you have 4-9 stamps for "Tokyo Metropolitan Course" or more than 2 stamps for the "Shinkansen Course".
Recommended Routs
* Prizes can be claimed from 10:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M only at Yokohama Station
* The stamp at Shibuya Station is only available from 7:00A.M to 10:00P.M. (The rest of the stamps are available from the first train until the last train of the day)
