英語日記008:時間の消費・投資・浪費
さて、8本目の英語日記。今日は何を書こう。
1 Spending, Investing and Wasting of Time
A famous consultant Kenichi Omae said, "There are only three ways to change yourself. Changing your residence, changing your human relationships, or change your time allocation. "
Since last month, my time allocation has changed drastically. I telework in my place instead of going to my office every day. Most of appointments are using ZOOM, so I do not have to go out. As a result, I have got extra time to spend.
When I coach my clients, I often advise to break their usage of time into three categories.
1. Spending of time
If you use your time for something necessary(e.g, having breakfast, sleeping, and commuting), you are spending your time. As long these things are necessary, you must keep time to get them done.
2. Investing of time
If you use your time for something valuable for your future(e.g, reading books about your business, practicing a presentation, and going to a gym), you are investing your time. If you can invest a lot of time, for investing, you can grow and get raise or promotion in the future.
3. Wasting of time
If you do not spend or invest your time, you may be wasting your time. In order to live a more autonomous life, you should reduce your wasting time. However, you don't have to try to eliminate time wasters- it might occur your exhausts and even mental disease.
I found that I can use more time because I do not have to get on a train for appointments. That is one of the big reasons why I decided to start studying in a graduate school.

今、ある方に勧められてこの本を読んでいます。
日本人が上手く使えない(けどとても簡単な)単語の使い方とか、細かく解説が載っていてすごく良い本です。
