スマホで撮る　Shoot with a smartphone

一時期やめていたカメラを再開するきっかけはスマホでした。使用しているのはiphoneです。気軽に使えて、写真を撮るのが楽しくなりました。

現在使用しているのはiphoneXSです。画素数も上がり、デジカメと変わらないような写真を撮影することができます。

さらにポートレート機能が搭載されて、一層楽しみが増しています。最新の機種ではナイトモードも搭載されて夜景も綺麗に撮影できるようです。

ポートレート機能の力はどれ程のものなのかと気になり、春先ぐらいに実験をしていました。ツイッターで少しやり始めていたのですが文字制限などもあり、やりにくいなあと思い、中途半端で終わっていました。そして今でも実験中です。撮影する時、対象物と距離が近すぎると「離れてください」というメッセージが画面上部に現れます。この距離感がなかなか掴めないのです。デジカメで単焦点レンズを使用している時よりも掴みにくい。いや、もしかすると単焦点レンズを使用していたから一層難しく感じているのかもしれません。

I was wondering how powerful the portrait function was, so I was experimenting in early spring. I started doing it a little on Twitter, but due to character restrictions, I thought it would be difficult to do, and ended up halfway. And I'm still experimenting. When I shoot, if I'm too close to the object, the message "Please leave" appears at the top of the screen. I can't really grasp this sense of distance. It is harder to grasp than when using a single focus lens with a digital camera. No, maybe it's more difficult because I used a single focus lens.

この写真はf値が1.4です。ここまですると違和感があります。デジカメでも同様ですが、やり過ぎると違和感しかありません。背景をボカすことは面白い、そして上手く見えます。でもやりすぎは注意です。あとは何をボカすのかを考えていないと不自然な写真が仕上がってしまいます。

iphoneは元々明るめに処理してくれるようです。だからf値の調整で暗くなり過ぎる事を気にする必要はあまりないのかなと思います。

Originally, iphone seems to process it brightly. Therefore, I don't think there is much need to worry that the f value will be too dark.

ただし気をつけなければいけないことがあります。ポートレートモードで撮影した写真を編集するとf値がわからなくなってしまいます。編集した写真をオリジナルに戻すという機能もあるのですがそれでも表示されませんでした。macに取り込んで写真の設定情報をみるとポートレートモードで撮影した全ての写真のf値が2.4と表示されるようです。デフォルトでそう設定されているのでしょうか。この辺り、プログラム上難しいのでしょうか。

このポートレート機能を人物写真で使用するともっと効果的なのかなと思います。元来人物写真用に開発された機能のようです。

I think it would be more effective to use this portrait function for portraits. It seems to be a function originally developed for portrait photography.

これはポートレート機能を使用していませんがこういった縦型の写真もiphoneは効果的に撮影できますね。

This doesn't use portrait function, but iphone can take such vertical photos effectively.
