人生の大きな落とし穴に落ちても、喜びの中で生きる

人生は予期せぬ試練や困難に満ちています。時には、深い穴に落ちて、出口が見えないように感じることもあるでしょう。しかし、そのような最も暗い瞬間でさえ、揺るぎない喜びの源があります。それは主イエス・キリストです。どのような状況であっても、主はすべてを支配しておられ、私たちは主に対する信仰を通して、どのような状況の中でも平安と喜びを見出すことができるのです。

困難な時期に喜びの中で生きる鍵は、神のタイミングが完全であることを理解することです。私たちには解決できないように見える問題や、耐えられないように感じる状況であっても、神の御心の中で、すべては最善の形で解決されます。その解決は、私たちが想像する以上の方法で現れることが多く、神はすべてを御心のままに働かせ、私たちの益となるようにしてくださるのです。主に全幅の信頼を置くためには、私たちが見るものに頼るのではなく、神の約束に信頼することが必要です。

信仰は神の御言葉を聞くことから生じる

ローマ人への手紙10章17節には「信仰は聞くことによるのであり、聞くことはキリストの御言葉による」とあります。私たちの信仰は、主の御言葉に耳を傾け、約束を瞑想し、御声に聞き従うことによって成長します。ですから、聖書を定期的に読み、神の御言葉が説教される場に参加し、御言葉に繋がっていることが非常に重要です。

不安な時期には落胆しやすいものですが、まさにそのような時こそ御言葉に立ち返るべきです。神の約束を聞けば聞くほど、私たちの信仰は成長します。信仰が成長すれば、今の状況を超えて見ることができ、たとえ目に見えるものがどうであっても、神がすべてを支配しておられると信じることができるのです。

主イエス・キリストの名によるバプテスマ

バプテスマは単なる象徴的な行為ではなく、主イエス・キリストの名において信仰を表明するものです。イエスの名を通して私たちは救われます。なぜなら、イエスは全能の神が人となられた姿だからです。多くの人々は、父、子、聖霊という三位一体を3つの別々の存在として捉えますが、聖書はこれらが三つの独立した人物ではなく、真の唯一の神の3つの役割（オフィス）であることを明らかにしています。イエスは、神ご自身が人となって来られ、地上で人類の罪を負うために来られたのです（コロサイ人への手紙2章9節）。

イエス・キリストの名によってバプテスマを受けるとき、私たちはイエスを救い主、贖い主、そして人となられた唯一の神として認めているのです。その名は、救い、癒し、解放の権威と力を持っています。この真理を理解することで、どのような状況でも強さと喜びを得ることができるのです。なぜなら、私たちは世に打ち勝たれた方に属しているからです。

神の御心に生き、主のタイミングを信じる

喜びの中で生きるためには、自分の意志を捨て、神の御心に従って生きることを学ぶ必要があります。これは、主の御業が私たちの思いを超え、計画が私たちの考えをはるかに超えて素晴らしいものであることを受け入れることです。主に信頼を置くとき、私たちは「主よ、あなたがすべてを支配しておられることを信じ、あなたの約束の中で安息します」と告白しているのです。

それは簡単なことではありませんが、真の喜びは、私たちの状況にではなく、変わることのない神の性質に依存しています。主イエス自身がヨハネの福音書16章33節で「あなたがたは世にあっては艱難がある。しかし、勇気を出しなさい。わたしはすでに世に勝ったのである」と語られました。私たちの喜びは、状況に左右されるものではなく、善良であり、真実である神の存在に基づいているのです。

神の完璧な時に勝利を頂けるのですから、引き続き信仰の内に生きようではありませんか。

Living in Joy Even in Life’s Deepest Ditches

Life is full of unexpected challenges and trials. There may be times when we feel as though we have fallen into a deep ditch, with no visible way out. Yet, even in these darkest moments, there is a source of joy that never wavers—the Lord Jesus Christ. He is in control of every situation, and through faith in Him, we can find peace and joy regardless of the circumstances we face.

The key to living in joy during difficult times is understanding that God’s timing is perfect. What may seem like an insurmountable problem or an unbearable situation will eventually be resolved in His timing. This resolution often comes in ways we could never imagine, for He works all things according to His will and for our good. To trust in the Lord fully, we must understand that faith does not rest in what we see but in what God has promised.

Faith Comes by Hearing the Word of God

Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Our faith grows as we immerse ourselves in His Word, meditate on His promises, and listen to His voice. This is why it is crucial to stay connected to the Scriptures, read the Bible regularly, and attend fellowship where the Word of God is preached.

During times of uncertainty, it’s easy to get discouraged, but it’s precisely in these moments that we must turn to the Word. The more we hear His promises, the more our faith grows. As we grow in faith, we begin to see beyond our current circumstances and trust that God is in control, no matter how things appear.

Baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ

Baptism is not just a symbolic act but a declaration of faith in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is through His name that we are saved, for Jesus is the manifestation of the Almighty God in the flesh. Many believe in the concept of the Trinity—the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost as three separate beings. However, the Bible reveals that these are not three distinct persons but rather three offices of the one true God. Jesus embodies all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9).

When we are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, we acknowledge Him as our Savior, Redeemer, and the one true God who came down in human form to bear the sins of the world. His name carries the authority and power to save, heal, and deliver. Understanding this truth gives us the strength and joy to face any situation, knowing that we belong to the One who has overcome the world.

Living in His Will and Trusting His Timing

To live in joy, we must learn to surrender our own will and live according to His. This means accepting that His ways are higher than ours, and His plans are greater than anything we could conceive. When we place our trust in Him, we are saying, “Lord, I believe You are in control, and I choose to rest in Your promises.”

It’s not always easy, but true joy comes from knowing that God is with us, even in the midst of our struggles. Jesus Himself said in John 16:33, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Our joy is not dependent on our circumstances but on the unchanging nature of God. He is good, and He is faithful.

May we continue to live in faith, walk in His will, and trust that He will bring us through every situation in His perfect timing.
