Passive(受動態)～される/ ～された>> be + Vpp(過去分詞)
EX) The cat scratched me.>> I was scratched by the cat.

Vpp(Verb past participle) 過去分詞
EX) scratched / hurt / bitten / broken / eaten / yelled

scratch 引っ掻く / bitten biteの過去分詞 /vet (veterinarian) 獣医
hurt 傷つける / Poor thing かわいそうに、なんてかわいそうなんだ
afraid 恐れている,怖がっている

He betrayed his girlfriend.
she was betrayed by her boyfriends.

The rescue team members saved the little girl.
The little girl was saved by the rescue team members.

The puppy bit him badly
He was bitten badly by the puppy
