We living a life where don't know what will happen tomorrow

A major disaster at the start of the year 2024

A major earthquake centered in the Noto region claimed many victims. No matter how hard we try to suppress the fear of those who witnessed the disaster, we cannot easily forget it.

What is the most important mental attitude for us to have at such a time?

It is to fear correctly.

For us, living in Japan, this earthquake is not something distant; it concerns everyone, regardless of their location. It is an occurrence that can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. Adopting an attitude of "It's not happening to me; I'm fine" is not the correct approach.

However, panicking and expressing fear, being driven by anxiety and despair, is also not the solution. The right attitude lies in preparing oneself for whatever might happen.

Even in a place like this Fukugonji, where there is a threat of the Nankai Trough earthquake, the Tokyo metropolitan area faces the danger of a direct earthquake, and there are discussions about the eruption of Mount Fuji. We don't know what will happen where and when, so it is not someone else's problem; it is a premise for everyone to prepare for the unforeseen.
