Day107 ニュージーランドでワーホリ生活-カイコウラ、Cray Fest開催中🦐

Today, My friend Riko came to Kaikoura! We met each other in Kaikoura two months ago. She usually stays in Hanmer Spring.
We caught up together after work and visited the Strawbery Tree Cafe for dinner. This week, the Cray Festa is held in Kaikoura. Crayfish is a famous food here. You can enjoy a variety of Crayfish menus in many restaurants in Kaikoura. The Strawberry Tree has a cray laksa as the special menu. It was really good not going to lie! It might be the best meal  I've ever had in an NZ restaurants. I highly recommend it to everyone. The Cray Festa is going to be until this weekend.

By the way, the Japanese Yen has been very weak recently. In the case of the NZ dollar, it is almost the highest level in 25 years. In the Strawberry, I had two beers, one laksa and one French fries. It was a total of $66, which is about ¥6,000. That's an impossible price in Japan. It's ok for me because I already earn money in this country. But it would be tough if I had to spend Japanese yen on living costs. I'm worried about the economics of Japan. I think it is natural that people hesitate to travel abroad due to the weakness of Yen. My family is going to come to NZ next month. They must feel fear with each payment…

週末はまた僕がハンマーに行く。笑
お目当ては明日のホエールウォッチング。自分は仕事で同船できないけど、無事たっぷり観れるといいなぁ…グッドラック。
仕事終わりに合流してストロベリーツリーへ。先週末からクレイフェスト開催中のカイコウラ。クレイフィッシュとはつまり伊勢エビのことで、カイコウラの名産品。街中のレストランで、期間限定の様々な伊勢海老メニューが展開されています。ストロベリーツリーはラクサを提供していて、これが1番気になってたやつ！店に着くなり見たことないくらい並んでて焦った、ほんとにここはカイコウラかってくらい…夏本番はもっとなのかなぁ〜お店楽しむのなかなかハードル高そう、だからこそ今のうちにちょいちょい行っとこーと思いました。肝心のラクサのお味は…マジ最高！！ニュージー外食ランキング1位と言っても過言ではないほどのおいしさでした。これは食べる価値あるよ！海老出汁がガツンと効いてて、身もちゃんと入ってて、麺は2種類混ざってていい感じに絡んで…素晴らしい逸品でございました。ビール2杯とポテトも頼んで$66。

あんまり高い高い言いたくないんやけど、最近円安がほんとに進んでで気にせざるを得ない。今日の会計$66は日本円で6000円程度。ビール2杯とフード2品でよ？やべえだろ。こっちの物価高もあるけど、今や日本円だけで海外生活するのはほんとに不利だなと感じます。こっちで稼いでるから日常生活ではあんまり気にしてないけど、ふとしたときにギョッとするわ。
年末家族が来るときは一時的でも少し和らいでるといいな…
