1日 - Two ways of reading
When you see 1日, remember that there are TWO ways of reading and they mean quite different! Let’s practise!
———
1日 read as いちにち(ichìnìchì): one day (as a period)
1日 read as ついたち (tsuìtàchì): 1st of a month (as a date)
———
Listening Tips!
the に of 1日 as いちにち is often omitted and pronounced as ん
→ いちんち(ichìńchì)
———
