happy happy september!

ahhhhh the month of september has been such a gift so far! I feel that so many auspicious and blissful alignments happened in my life, and I feel so much gratitude for it. these days are reminding me of the beautiful unknown synchronicities in life from the spirit <3 

starting with the senses, I’m currently drinking a new ethiopian roast over ice from verve that I picked up with h chan last week. I’m so grateful that he comes and sits with me for hours at cafe to accompany me while I study :3

scents: I recently stumbled across a beautiful independent arts and design gift store, where I found a unique scent called “trek” by j.pera. it has notes of copal sap, orange blossom, juniper berry, seaweed, with citrusy and woody notes. I love it so much! I also picked up a new black milk tea flavored incense hehehe. 

and I stopped by a famous japanese import vinyl store in gardena, where I picked up a few new japanese city pop and jazz records through recommendation of the owner!

tastes: mmmm since I’ve been working in south bay recently, I’ve been getting to sushi for lunch pretty much every day (or really good japanese food) from tokyo market!  I got bbq with h chan last night, and my brother came to visit last weekend so we got to eat noodle street taiwanese food and go karaoke after hehehe. 

other highlights of this past week: had lunch with my attending psychiatrist and her husband, who very graciously said they would put in a good word for me to the residency program, got to visit the tidepools with hiro and the palos verdes area (which was beautiful, but also somewhat dissapointing in terms of how polluted the ocean was), take my patients to a nature therapy beach outing, catch up with my friend eliana, go to the park with my friend christine and pull some tarot cards, go to la river farmers market by myself and pickup yaki onigiri and figs :) we also made plans to have a final summer bbq by the river together soon! I met with my advisor and I’m on track to submit my residency app on time… just have to finish taking my last licensing exam monday, I got this!

I also got to have my final presentation at the clinic, sharing my art, paintings, music, and made a little photo exhibition for the patients! it was a lovely end to the rotation~

also made exciting plans with family to do bengali engagement ceremony during thanksgiving and go camping in redwood forest together in fall!

things I’m looking forward to:

-finishing step
-friend’s wedding this sunday!
-staying in laguna beach for exam hehe
-getting k spa and yummy food drinks celebration with eliana day after exam
-celebrating with hiro friday after exam
-having river side bbq soon
-soon making music again w xtine!
-finding cute engagement rings with h chan 
-see x tine’s debut album performance next week!
-go to ava/z’s artistic dinner service next weekenddd
-fall sooooon and fall fashion
-visiting san diego in fall to learn african indigenous healing and hang out with kara~~~
- beach tomorrow and face mask today hehehe
-think about if want to move to sf or new york
- catch up with anna about how saudi arabia issss
