Cherry Blossoms
Before a hectic day starts, I open the widow. The sky is still dark, but in ten minutes or so, the cool of the sky changes its shade. There they are; cherry blossoms. It’s funny, I see more green and cherry blossoms here than in the place I grew up.
The room is located outside of downtown. Once eight o’clock hits, or a little bit before that, traffic starts to get heavy and my day starts. Until then, I look at the trees by the parking lot, and tune into calmness and tranquility, energizing my inner self before the unexpected.
You focus on what you have control over. That one single message ruins my day, or two… No matter how hard you try to live your life minding your own business, there are always people out there trying to get you. Usually, when my life is calm and uneventful, it’s as if some invisible force is sending me a message that I'd been recharged. Now, it’s time to face another challenge, which is an ongoing lesson.
You focus on what you have control over: my perception. So I stand by the window, and gaze at the cherry blossoms, tuning into my inner self.
